He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Howell (Randy) of Sneads, FL, Shanna D-Attile (Stephen) of Monticello, FL, Melinda Shiver of Monticello, FL, Manda Barnes (Garry) of Alford, FL and Tim Amerson, Jr. (Kathrine) of O'Brian, FL.; and his siblings, Jimmy Amerson of Hahira, GA, David Amerson of Jasper, Walter Amerson (Brenda) of Jasper, Billy Amerson of Jasper, Jo Ann Lucas of Live Oak, Georgie Rowe (Gene) of Jasper, Sadie Pettrey (Billy) of McAlpin, FL, Thelma Mae Pettrey (Kenneth) of McAlpin, FL and Bobbie Jo Hunter (Neville) of Live Oak, FL.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westlake Church of God. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
