He was predeceased by: his parents, Taft Smith Senior and Idella Smith; and his daughter Michelle. He is survived by: his wife Christene Smith; his children, Taft Jr. (Tracie), Derek (Jennifer) and Samantha (Rocky); his brothers, Calvin (Shelia) and James; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Syler, Sylvia Pands and Virginia Gandy. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eric A. Brown & Son Funeral Home (1221 3rd St NW, Jasper, FL 32052). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at 1153 US-41, Jennings, FL 32052.
