He was predeceased by: his father Paul Carter; and his siblings, Randall Carter of Jennings and Patsy Rogers of Echols County. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his sons, Lee Carter (Amy) of Echols County, Georgia. and Len Carter (Shona) of Echols County, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Isaac Carter (US Army), Natalee Carter, Gracin Carter and Brady Wilson; his brother Paul Carter of Albany, Georgia; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Carter of Jennings, Florida and Lendy Rogers of Echols County. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Church of God, 243 Bethel Church Road, Lake Park, Georgia 31636 in memory of Charlie.
