He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Wells Gause; and his brothers, John, Marvin and Michael. He is survived by: his children, Jeffery E. Gause of Jasper, David Gause (April) of Jasper and Jenny Tippie (David) of Jasper; and his sister Karan Gwynn (Jack) of Jasper. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
