He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Cox and Sadie Barton Cox; his daughter Loretta Cox; and his sister Sadie Cox Jones. He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Freeman (Anthony), Cindy Santerfeit (Tommy) and Mary Franklin of Live Oak, FL.; his siblings, J. D. Cox (Shirley) of Jasper, FL., Harry Cox (Myra) of Jasper, FL., Ben Cox of Jasper, FL., Sandra Wood (Tommy) of Jasper, FL. and Gwen Cox Black of Jasper, FL.; his grandchildren, Samantha, Kandace, Brianna, Lindsay and London; his great grandchildren, Gage and Karmyn; and his son Jeff Cox (Sue). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
