He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse B. Carter and Mary E. Spivey Carter; and his brother Jesse "Edwin" Carter. He is survived by: his wife Jewell S. Carter; his daughters, Lydia Sue Lane (Larry) of Brunswick, GA., Peggy Charlene Kosater (Gerry) of Forsyth, GA., Patricia Ann Crook (Chris) of Brunswick, GA. and Rebecca Gail Corbett (John) of Lake Park, GA.; his brother Neil Carter (Yvonne) of Opelika; and his sister-in-law Betty Carter of Perry, GA.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
