She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Lee and Jonas Brown. She is survived by: her husband Leroy Poulian Jr. (Karo); her children, Helen Mohead, Arthur Mohead (Rhonda), Carlos Mohead Sr., Willie Mohead, Diana Mohead Oates, Laron Poulian, Lekenya Poulian, Tijan Arnold, Chantel Armstrong, Preston Copeland and Brien Jenkins; her daughters-in-law, Sabrina Mohead and Lawanda Swinton; and her siblings, Annie Doris Tucker (Joe), Shirley Fudge (Eddie), Mary Alice McGee (Dennis), Sunette Covington Terry (Tim) and Willie Brown Wesley Brooklin (Sabrina).
