He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester H. Tanner and Jeanette Tanner (Gill); and his siblings, Hillard Tanner, Trenton Tanner, Sammy Tanner, Faye Boyd and Maria Batz.
He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Tanner; his children, Billy H. Tanner (Michelle), Bobby Land, Loretta Taylor (Chris), Chasity Padgett (Richard) and Leanne Starling (Mike); and his siblings, Roger "Gator" Tanner, Sandra Streat, Frances Thornton and Betty Jo Hodges. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
