She is survived by: her son Charlie Lee Moreland Jr.; her siblings, Carl Cooper, Willie Mae Lane (Wilbert) and Edith Simmons; her sister-in-law Betty Cooper; her godmother Sharon Hutchinson; her godson Terrance Smith; and her friends, Gayle Houston Arline, Regina Brooker and Stacy Reynolds. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She would prepare food for the disabled and homeless, sew masks during Covid, feed anybody that was hungry, give money to those in need, and open her home to friends and family in time of displacement and despair.
