“I went to High School with Billy. Billy saved my life when I first got in the ILA Clerks & Checkers Union in 71. We were working a plywood ship at Talleyrand and I had no hard hat. Billy went to his truck and gave me a spare. I don't think it was 30 minutes later when I was hit by ships gear knocking me to the ground. I have no doubt it would have killed me.
