He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorace Cecil Ellis and Madeliene Giles Ellis; his brothers, Woody Ellis and Henry Ellis; his daughter Kimberly Ellis Jones; and his son-in-law John Eric Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Pamela Stone Ellis of Jacksonville, FL; his daughter Gina Ellison of Jacksonville, FL; his sisters, Latrelle McKinney of Jacksonville, FL and Judy Skinner (Ronnie) of Jacksonville, FL; and his grandchildren, Haley Nicole Jones and Aaron Ellison. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
