Calhoun, Melvin Brookins (Christine), Edward Brookins, Willie Brookins (Denise), Henry Heggs, Blanche Burton, Addie Calhoun Jones and Gladys M. Hill; her children, Valerie Neal, Jeffrey Dowdell, Rose Allen and Spencer Bass; her grandchildren, Xavier L. Brown, Bakari S. Dowdell, Valerio Wilson, Ashten A. Brown, Ja'Mia I. Dowdell-Allen and Geornae S. of Washington; her great grandchildren, Alexis R. Brown and Arielle X. Brown; her children, Luc (Nicole Monsanto), Diane Nichols, Milton (Jami Jefferson) and Sandra Danzie (Paula Greene); and her sister Juanita Brown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
