He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Lathrop; and his grandparents, Francis, Virginia Lathrop, Earnest and Irene Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Petree; his sons, Joseph and Jacob; his siblings, Susan Kasper and Steven Lathrop (Michele); his stepmother Rebecca Lathrop; his mother-in-law Lynda Petree; and his brother-in-law Jonathan Petree (Jessica). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and multiple nieces and nephews.
