It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Mae Brooks (Jacksonville, Florida), born in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, who passed away on February 10, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Pryce C. Brooks; her daughter Stephanie M. McGhee; and her mother Bessie Ellis. She is survived by: her children, Betty Palmer (Robert) of Akron, Barbara Moore (Robert) of Texarkana, Pryce Brooks (Agnes) of Texarkana, Quinn Brooks of Jacksonville, FL, Cordelia Ballard (Paul) of Jacksonville, FL, Anna Robinson of Jacksonville, FL and Stephen Brooks (Hawaii) of Jacksonville, FL; her grandsons, Calvin McGhee and Carlton Morton; and her siblings, Carrie McGruder of Florida, Frank Ellis of Florida, William Ellis of California, Sally Sharp of Pennsylvania and Azalea Finley of California. She is also survived by other grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
