It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosie L. Atkinson of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Dublin, Georgia, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Thomas, Sr. and Magnolia Baker–Thomas; her husband Hosell Atkinson; her daughters, Priscilla L. Thomas and Wanda L. Thomas-Jackson; and her siblings, Jerry Thomas, Nathaniel Thomas, Johnny Thomas, Jr., Robert C. Thomas, William Thomas and Irene Thomas-Waters.
She is survived by: her children, David L. Thomas and Gladys Thomas-Brown; her sister Ola Durden; and her grandsons, Corey and Irving Jackson. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces.
