It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosa Tanner of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arville Henry and Lucille Fox Hice; and her brother Arville Ikerd. She is survived by: her children, Denise Renee "Kelli" Attaway of Charlotte, NC, Crystal Dawn Simpson of North Carolina and Duwayne Melvin Simpson of North Carolina; her siblings, Alton Hice (Loretta) of Hudson, NC, Judy Nettles (Warnie) of Blackshear and Colleen Corbitt (Eugene) of Blackshear; her brother-in-law Dewayne Tanner of Brunswick; her grandchildren, Morgan Attaway, Dominique Attaway, Perry Attaway and Aliya Attaway; and her great grandchildren, Asaiah, Jeremiah, Penelope and Kareem. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing guidelines as well as the use of facemasks is strongly encouraged.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions in Marie's memory to the family.
