He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Leon Witt and Elize Mable Campbell; his sister Mable Redden; his mother-in-law Rosalee Brown; his son Mark Witt; and his daughter-in-law Joan Witt.

He is survived by: his wife Florence; his son Troy Witt (Spring); his brothers, Ed Witt and Fred Witt; and his grandchildren, Heather Hicks (Brad), Kameron Witt and Mackenzie Witt. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, and a loving group of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery (4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206).
