She is survived by: her husband Leroy Baker, Jr.; her mother Sadie Mobley Thomas; her siblings, Calvin Mobley, Alfred Robinson (Katie), Edmond Robinson, Sebastian Thomas (Shelby), Timothy Thomas, Linda Smith and Anna Marie Thomas (T'ressa); her children, Joseph Pope, III (Amy), Matthew Pope (Charlotte), Nicole Thomas and Carmelitta McClendon; and her grandchildren, Katura Williams (Gerald), Walter Pope, Melvin Thomas, Jr., Patriesh Thomas, Joseph Pope, IV, Noah Pope, Jaulicia Pope, Morris McClendon, III, Marcelle McClendon, M'Kayla McClendon and McKenzie McClendon. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and extended family.
