He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tickel and Ellen Tickel of Plant City, Florida.; his siblings, Mary Shuman, Maybel Hires, Edna Barton, Amos Tickel and Grace Yancey; and his son James Richard Tickel.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his daughters, Carol Tickel and Amy Rait (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Samantha Tickel and Robert Rait.
