He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Kevin and John; his daughter-in-law Frances LaBelle; and his siblings, Jeanne Murphy and Jacque LaBelle.
He then took up road cycling, raising thousands of dollars for the Tour de Cure Diabetes Foundation.
