He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Johnson and Gertrude Morehouse Johnson; and his siblings, Charles Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Steve Johnson and Margie Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Johnson of Jacksonville; his daughters, Jan Johnson Smith (David) of Glen St and Kim Dillon (Don Googe) of Orange Park; his stepson Alan Nelsen (Isa) of Miami; his grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Mike, Josh, Tucker and Madison; his great grandchildren, Makayla, Chase, Sarai, Aiden, Luke and Karrah; his brothers, Marvin Johnson of Jacksonville and Randy Johnson (Joann) of Jacksonville; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Johnson Hinds of Keystone Heights and Lydia Johnson-Oakes of Jacksonville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Evangel Temple Assembly of God (5755 Ramona Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
