It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Dean of Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on November 11, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Sumpter and Alvie McNair; her husband Alan Dean; and her sisters, Shirley Brown, Clara Greene, Beatrice Beckworth and Thelma Holmes.
She is survived by: her children, Meshall Smith (Bobby), Randy Jackson and Michael Dean; her siblings, Brenda Manning (Tom), Cauretta Sumpter and James Sumpter (Carol); her grandchildren, Alaina Jackson, Ranisha Jackson, Michael Dean, Mikeese Dean, Allyssie Dean, Willie Lee III, Deandre Jackson, John Jackson and Ciara Jackson; and her great grandchild Boo-Bear Tiego Croxton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
