She was predeceased by: her parents, Tillman Lewis and Maude Bolden Lewis; and her daughter Alva Barnett. She is survived by: her significant other Maurice Henry Barnett; her sons, Maurice H. Barnett, Jr. (Carolyn) and Charles T. Barnett, Sr. (Mary); and her grandchildren, Maurice H. Barnett, III (Tiffany), Andrea Barnett Taylor (Fred), Charles T. Barnett, Jr. and Charlene I. Barnett. She is also survived by 13 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; friend.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rufus E. Payne Memorial Chapel of Alphonso West Mortuary (4409 Soutel Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32208). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Historic Mt. Zion AME Church (201 E Beaver St, Jacksonville, FL 32202). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park (2600 Ribault Scenic Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32208).
