She was predeceased by: her husband Ivan Jerry Owens of Lynch, Kentucky; her parents, Goldie King and Ed King; and her brothers, Eddie Ray King, Leroy King and Albert King.

She is survived by: her daughters, Geri Darlington, Gaye Shanks (Bruce), Lonita Scott and Lorrene Owens; her siblings, Sylvia Renee Valentine, Levan King and Lee Lee King; her grandchildren, April Hammock, Lorisa Bolante, Katie Brogna, Lorrene Owens, Christopher Marquez, Sean Shanks and Brooke Strasser; her great grandchildren, Miguel, Christopher, Jr., Adam, Alia, Phobee, Penelope, Caiden, Owen, Elias and Lacey; and her grandchildren, Laura Lee Bolante and Felix Jerry Marquez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
