She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Thomas and Beatrice Arrowsmith Byrd; her husband Thomas Collins Finney; her son Thomas Charlie Finney; and her siblings, Helen B. Morris, Katherine Elizabeth Johnson and Tommie Lee Byrd.
She is survived by: her son Russell M. Finney Sr. (Katherine); her grandchildren, Russell Jr. (Linda), Jennifer (Lloyd) and Kristina (Nicholas); and her great grandchildren, David, Jacob and Wyatt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in honor of Myrtis Christine Byrd Finney to the United Methodist Church of Centerville Food Pantry, 600 N. Houston Lake Blvd., Centerville, Georgia 31028. All donations will go to help feed families during the holiday season.
