She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius James Sr. and Martha C. James; her son Levon James; and her brothers, Cornelius James, Jr. and Charles Boykins.
She is survived by: her son John Wallace Huges, III; her granddaughter Dionne James; her siblings, Tonya Lowe (Anthony), Shirley James-Newsome, Maxine James-McCloud, Sabrina Fountain, Jan Brown, Tina Griffin, Walter James and Thomas Fore; and her niece Tina Hilton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and close friends.
