She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Mae Hayes and Thomas Radney; her daughter Muriel Anette Burney; her husband Reverend James Clarence Burney, Sr.; her stepson James Clarence Burney, Jr.; her stepfather Charlie Hayes; her grandparents, Clifford and Rosa McCrary; her daughter Mary Louise; her granddaughter Angela Burney; and her siblings, Samuel "Boot" Radney, William Radney, Roderick Radney, Murray Radney and Mary Radney.
She is survived by: her family Carolyn Rose McCrary Burney; her children, Reginald Galento Burney (Macilla), Roderick Andre'Burney and Teri'Yvette Burnell (Frank); her grandchildren, Jamilah Burney, Vanessa West (Lorenzo), Kwame Burney (Lisan), Crystal Parks (Derrick), Eric Burney (Jessica), Kevin Burnell (Semone), Jordan Burney (Allie), Marques Burney, Jason Burnell (Anacia) and Michael Johnson (Ruth); her great grandchildren, Daryl Burney, Cameron Collins, Lorenzo West, Vanessa-Loren West, Lowen West, Liana West, Naomi Stagner, Adriane Parks, Amiya Parks, Elijah Burney, Josiah Burney, Trinitee Burney, Ahlana Burney, Jessica Burney, Zophia Burney, McKenzy Johnson, Michaela Johnson and McKenly Johnson; her cousin Rosalyn Menchan (James, Sr.); her aunt Norma McCrary; her godchildren, Melodie Patterson Jackson, Petrina Odom, Michelle Swain, Cynthia Harris, Sonja Manning and Cynthia Kendrick; and her close friend Doretha Wortha. She is also survived by relatives, friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Northside Chapel of Sarah L. Carter (6665 New Kings Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32219). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church (2803 Edgewood Ave W, Jacksonville, FL 32209). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at the Edgewood Cemetery (4519 N Edgewood Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32219).
