He was predeceased by: his parents, James Moss and Leona Moss (Groene); and his sister Linda Kean. He is survived by: his wife Debra (Moseley); his children, Michael Kean (Tammie), Matthew Kean (Kristy), Mark Kean and Jamie Sanchez; his siblings, Donna Mae Kean (Ron "Boomer") and Mark Moss; and his grandchildren, Michael, Taylor, Isabella, Logan, Manuel and Adela. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
