With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Florence Benton (Jacksonville, Florida), born in White Springs, Florida, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Mary Florence had on those she encountered along her journey. She is survived by: her husband Bert Benton Jr.; her sons, Jim Benton (Kristi), Bert Benton (Durell) and Patrick Benton (Terri); and her sister Martha Hunt. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Southside Methodist Church, 3120 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
