It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Howard Makavitt of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Mark Howard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mark Howard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marsha Makavitt; his parents, Thelma Makavitt and Daniel Makavitt; and his siblings, Eileen and Jerry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Rawls (Bobby) and Stephanie Teitelbaum (Howard); his grandchildren, Calvin Turner, Bethany Rawls, Daniel Rawls, Sydney Teitelbaum and Emily Teitelbaum; and his sister Heather Makavitt. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
