It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Howard Makavitt of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Marsha Makavitt; his parents, Thelma Makavitt and Daniel Makavitt; and his siblings, Eileen and Jerry.

He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Rawls (Bobby) and Stephanie Teitelbaum (Howard); his grandchildren, Calvin Turner, Bethany Rawls, Daniel Rawls, Sydney Teitelbaum and Emily Teitelbaum; and his sister Heather Makavitt. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
