With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luz Cruz (Jacksonville, Florida), who passed away on December 17, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elena Cortes and Andres Cortes; her son Adrian Cortes; and her sisters, Anilda, Mercedes and Maria Cortes.

She is survived by: her daughter Alyssa Cooley; her grandchildren, Adrianna Cooley, Mateo Cooley, Elena L. Cortes and Ian Cortes; and her siblings, Elba Salinas, Diana Neira, Ramon Cortes, Leonardo Cortes, Maria Duckett and Raul Cortes.

The family requests donations may be made in her name to Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center.
