He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie James Wright Sr. and Laura Beatrice Woods Wright; and his brothers, Timothy Wright, Eddie Wright Jr., Ronald Wright and Arthur Wright.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Wright; his daughter Carolyn Wright; his grandsons, Malachai Wright-Fedrick and Elijah Wright-Fedrick; his siblings, Hiram Wright, David Wright, Nairobi Wright (Keshia), Esther Worth-Wright, Miriam Felix (Glenn), Tanzania Khupe (Mothusi) and Tunisha Wright; his siblings-in-law, Christopher Hammonds Jr. (Karen), William Hammonds (Eleanor), Walter Hammonds, Leroy Hammonds and Willie Hammonds; and his goddaughter Reenee.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Jr. Memorial Chapel (4315 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
