He was predeceased by: his parents, John Allen and Hattie Bailey Allen; and his brothers, Richard Allen, Phil Allen and Melvin Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Melvin Allen, Lawrence Allen, Jr. and Samari Allen; his siblings, Theresa Johnson, Betty Worthen, Mary Lee Dicks, Herbert James Allen, John L. Allen and Walter Elroy Allen (Debbie); and his close friends, Fuddy, Frank, Donna Golden and Shawanda Edmundson. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
