It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Nelson-Hill (Jacksonville, Florida), who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandmother Leomie Stills; her son Benton Johnson; her siblings, Albert Johnson Jr., Rodrick Green and Betty Ann Foy; and her niece Harriet Snow.
She is survived by: her husband Henry Hill (Otis); her children, Jacquelin Norris (Samuel), Webb Johnson-Bey and Panisse Johnson; her grandchildren, Shawnte Bell (Anthony), Antoine Bruce, Shayna Hilliard, Jocelyn Rollins, Shakeia Hilliard, Chandrika Allen, Chapelle Allen, Miles Johnson-Bey, Lea Davis and Lelia Davis; her great grandchildren, Nevaehya Tiller, Triniti Bell, Ja'Maurion Jackson, Diamonnie Tiller, Jason Williams Jr., Anthony Bell Jr., Jae'Seon Williams and Joshua Miles Jr.; her siblings, Julia Fountain (Jessie), Anna Forney (Derwin), Wanda Smith (Thad) and Myron Green (Angela); and her sister-in-law Rhetta Johnson (Albert). She is also survived by relatives and friends.
