It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Gay Jones of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Valparaiso, Florida, who passed away on August 19, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, W. W. Gay (Bill) and Eloise Gay. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Vernon; her children, Leah Jones Copham (Brian) and Paul Vernon Jones, Jr. (Christin); her grandchildren, Eloise Grace Copham (Ellie Grace), Adley Joy Copham, Rhodes William Copham, Mary June Jones, Garland Grace Jones and Paul Vernon Jones, III; and her siblings, Bill Gay (Louise), Bob Gay (Carol) and Deborah Gay Croft (late Jerry Croft). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
