Joseph Glen McDonald Jr. Obituary

Joseph Glen McDonald, 50 of Jacksonville, FL, passed away August 11, 2021. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI on March 10, 1971.
Joseph Glen McDonald graduated from Fremont Highschool. He was married to Angelena Rose McDonald on April 4, 2009. He previously worked as a butcher at Fresh Market, he loved that job until he couldn't work anymore due to his Onset Parkinson's. He was an extremely hard worker and gave it his all in all he did. Many don't know that he could draw just like his daddy until his condition took that away. We both had a deep love for art but he still would continue to encourage me to pursue it no matter how much it hurt him that he could no longer do it. He was always inspiring others and encouraging others to be their best selves. He loved football. He was a big Michigan Wolverine fan when it came to college football. His favorite NFL team was the Green Bay Packers. He loved when Favre played but continue to follow them afterwards. He also loved to watch tennis. He loved fishing but we couldn't do it much after our kids were born. He loved the outdoors and we did as much as we could outside. We loved going to beach as a family and it was a place of peace for us. Our last vacation to Daytona Beach was the best time we had in a very long time. He was an amazing husband and father to our children. He would do anything he could for anybody. Our families were a big part of our lives. Joe didn't make excuses, he did anything and everything to make sure his family was taken care of, it really was all he cared about. He had the best sense of humor and always had me laughing. His smile could light up a room, it literally was the best. We did everything together and it truly felt like the best match made in heaven.

He was survived by his wife: Angelena. He was survived by his children: Hamony Elaine & Hayden Everett. He was predeceased by his father: Jospeh Glen McDonald Sr. He was survived by his mother: Jean McDonald (Dennis). He was predeceased by his identical brother: Jeffery McDonald and his brother: Timothy McDonald He was survived by his sisters: Kimberly Mcdonald, Amy McDonald and Dawn Handley (William) He was survived by numerous wonderful nieces and nephews and one great nephew. He was also survived by numerous wonderful uncles and aunts and cousins.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00, August 19 , 2021 at Fruit Cove Baptist Church.
