He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Watkins and Jewel Watkins; and his brothers, Gary and Terry Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, John Watkins Jr., Keela Watkins, Christopher Wilson (Chemene), Karen Gillen (Greg), Brian Wilson (Lacey) and Brooke Corbitt (Mike); and his brother Sherold Watkins (Sue). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
