We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2022, at the age of 86, John W. Mathis of Jacksonville, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jean Mathis; his parents, Coy Mathis and Jewell Mathis; his sister Shirley Henderson; and his children, Carrol (Tina), Jeff and Scott. He was also cherished by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Community Hospice.
