John David Rorer Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Rorer of Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though John David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hennie Younger Rorer and Adrien Bell Rorer. He is survived by: his former wives, Sally MacKinnon Rorer of Jacksonville and Shirley English Decker of Cape Coral; and his children, Kate Rorer Watson and John Alexander Rorer of Cape Coral. He is also survived by several stepchildren, cousins, and friends.
