We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2023, at the age of 79, John Clarence Simmons of Jacksonville, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrol Simmons and Caroline Bechtolt Simmons; and his friend Jeff Gydos. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Simmons; his children, Eric (Stephanie), Ivy (Jode) and Oliver (Dana); his grandchildren, Jonathan, Callie, Orion, Sonny, Dexter, Gigi and Izzy; his great grandchildren, Emma, Elijah, Daphne, Evelyn, Lily, Lilah and Luna; his granddaughter Rebecca Spargo; his brother Chuck Simmons (Anita); and his niece Debbie. He is also survived by the love of his life, his wife.
