He was predeceased by: his parents, John Copeland and Vesta Mills; and his siblings, James, Alton and Hazel.
He is survived by: his son Homer Copeland; and his sister Dorothy. He is also survived by his grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Old Plank Road Baptist Church (8964 Old Plank Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32220). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery (111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073).
