She was predeceased by: her parents, William Russell Stewart and Alva Louise Stewart; and her siblings, Rocky, Tommy Stewart, Nancy Wilkie, Betty Ajay and Rose Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband George L. Nixon, Jr.; her children, George Nixon, III, Joey Nixon (Dana), Sassy Siemer (Bruce), Prissy Nixon and David Nixon; her siblings, Gail Boston and William Stewart; her grandchildren, Angelia Bence, J. D. Nixon (Gloria), Daniel Nixon (Andrea), Jonathan Nixon (Anna) and Dakota Nixon; and her great grandchildren, Aspen, Maverick, Harper, Savannah, Isabella, John, Easton, Lila and Jolie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Viewing was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Peeples Funeral Home (14165 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32218). Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (601 Airport Center Dr E, Jacksonville, FL 32218). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
