She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Meitzler and Lois Clark Meitzler; her husband Norman L. Allen; and her siblings, Lucille Chancella, Charles Meitzler, Billy Meitzler, Juanita Meitzler, Marvin Meitzler and Glyn Meitzler.
She is survived by: her son John Allen of Jacksonville; her close friend Meredith Vaughn; and also, Shaye Lynn Vaughn and Matthew Dean Vaughn.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks Mrs. Allen be remembered with donations, in her name, to Community Hospice of NE Florida, Haven Hospice or the charity of one's choice.
