He is survived by: his children, Maria Jones (Shawn), Jay A. Hertzog Jr. and Mark Hertzog; and his siblings, Candy Lester (Alan) of Fernandina, Jeffrey Hertzog (Helen) of Jacksonville and Crystal Riner (Wade) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
