He was predeceased by: his father Jarrette "Jackie" Benford; his grandparents, Big Jack Benford and Lena Benford; and his sister Emily Gayle Benford. He is survived by: his son Christopher Benford of Campbellsville, KY; his mother Barbara Weems Benford of Chatsworth; his sister Cynthia Benford Flanigan of Chatsworth; his grandchildren, Jack Benford and Nova Benford; his nephews, Tyler Flanigan and Dillon Flanigan; and his niece Jamie Flanigan.
