He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Nicholas Lassiter and Katie Jones Lassiter; his wife Claudine Boals Lassiter; his siblings, Richard C., Nick Lassiter and Jane Lassiter Freeman; his brother-in-law George Kirby Freeman; and his nephew George Kirby Freeman III.
He is survived by: his son Charles Gill; his daughter-in-law Carla Gill; his granddaughter Amanda Gill; his nieces and nephews, Richard C. Lassiter, Thomas Raine Freeman, James McNeill Freeman, Mary Gail Freeman, Cherie Lassiter, Heidi Lassiter Ackley, Mandy Lassiter Sweeney, Mary Catherine Lassiter Grimm and Julie Lassiter; and also Jimmy.
