It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iola Etheleen McMickens (Jacksonville, Florida), born in Cordele, Georgia, who passed away on January 19, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Henry; her parents, Johnnie Mae and Jack Stubbs; her children, Gary, Larry, Reginald "Reggie" and Deshorie; her sisters, Berneice Wright and Yvonne Childs; and her brother-in-law Patrick Wright. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and other relatives, friends and associates and 1 God daughter.

She was involved with missionary, nursing, and high class functions until Covid.
