She was predeceased by: her parents, Lulabel Michelle Jones and Grady Walker; her granddaughter Makyah Lashaun Jones; her grandmother Jennie Gilmore; her great-grandparent Daisy Brewton; her uncles, Clennie Jones and Walter Jones Sr.; her aunt Deloris Rutland; her brother Seward Gilmore Jr.; and her nieces, Lisa Johnson, Gloria Andrews and Jacqueline Gilmore.

She is survived by: her close friend Derrick; her husband Derrick Ervin; her children, Otis Gray Jr. and Vershonda Gray; her grandchildren, Maryah V. Bruce, Taj C. Jones, Talvin O. Jones and Tashaun D. Jones; her siblings, Celestine Gilmore, Jennie Brooks and Willie Thomas Gilmore Sr.; and her niece Roxanne Young (Donald II). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
