She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Harris and Doris Williams Harris; her brothers, Samuel and Willie James Harris; and her grandson Marvin Black III.
She is survived by: her children, Marvin T. Black Jr. (Lydia) and Phyllis D. Edwards; her grandchildren, Vernon A. Edwards (Tiffany), Tremayne L. Edwards Sr., Evan H. Black, Jon Martins and Samuel Black; her great grandchildren, Talyah, Kayla, Tremyiah, Tiana and Tremayne Jr.; her siblings, Doris F. Harris O'Neal and Norman Jones; her sisters-in-law, Helen Harris and Vera Harris; and her goddaughters, Kandice Hester and Deborah Randall. She is also survived by loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
