It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Abbott of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Lakeland, Florida, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Prine Green and Emilie Wise Green; and her husband Vestal Elwood Abbott, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Lena Skelton (Eddie); her sister Lisle Towsend; her granddaughters, Kristina Skelton (Jarin) and Katie Skelton (Carter); her great grandchildren, Hudsyn and Bayler Cobb; and her caregivers, Nikki and Julia. She is also survived by 3 stepchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
